PaddleTaps original Pedal Tavern on the water! This boat departs out of downtown Excelsior, which is the most ideal location if you want to be within 20 minutes of Minneapolis! We currently have one pedal boat operating out of Excelsior which allows groups up to 14 people if needed. All of our party boats have a bathroom! Downtown Excelsior has a cute little downtown with tons of bars like Maynards, Excelsior Brewing, Red Sauce Rebellion or new Parlour bar/burger joint! Everything in Excelsior is within walking distance of our PaddleBoat for the perfect location. Enjoy cursing in the no wake Excelsior and St. Albans bay, where you can sure get a glimpse of the famous "Big Island". Best deal on the lake and still able to depart out of downtown Excelsior!

Most popular boat we offer for private cruises. So popular that we have three boats for 2026! These
boat has almost 300 square feet of usable space. Tours last roughly 2 hours on the water and are perfect for any corporate or private party request. These boat offers a private bar down the middle for easy food and drink storage, along with a nice sound bar so you can listen to your favorite tunes. Don't worry about bringing coolers (unless you want) as we have two large coolers for easy storage. Enjoy cruising around Seaton Channel sipping on your favorite margaritas! Fun for the entire family!

This boat's name says it all. If a fun filled lazy booze cruise is what you want, this is the tour for you! This boat is our only double deck party boat, which both levels combine a total square footage of 400 square feet! Custom bar and U shaped seating in the front. This is the perfect boat to escape and not worry about a thing at your event! With our LazyTap pontoon you are sure to get the best views from our 2nd level.

Don't worry about doing any work on this cruise, just bring the drinks and fun, your captain will take care of the rest. The only double deck pontoon rental on Lake Minnetonka. Operating currently only out of Back Channel Brewing in Spring Park MN.

Our tours have three options for private boats with different pickup/starting locations.

Private Boat Tours – Flat Pricing for the entire boat (up to boat capacity)

Flexible capacity: You can add more guests up to the boat's maximum capacity-its the same flat pricing!

Flat rate per person is only for smaller/shared groups.

Multiple boats are available: Combine boats for larger groups up to 48 people or more

No minimum! If you reserve our flat pricing you can bring up to the boat capacity! (14-18 people per boat)

All of our cruises last 2 hours! If you want longer, just book two cruises back to back for a half day experience!

Our cancelation policy is simple. 30 days out you can cancel and get a full refund. 0-29 days all sales are final. If we end up having bad weather (unsafe boating conditions), we allow rain checks. This decision is typically made on the day of your cruise. We do offer Trip Insurance which can be purchased at the time of checkout. That allows refunds 14 days out from the cruise and must purchase it at the time of checkout.

Yes, both of our locations and vessels have BYOB (Bring Your Own Beverage) and Food options. We do provide coolers if you need, but most groups just bring a cooler ready to go!

Yes, each tour boat offers Bluetooth connection, so you can sync your smartphone and start listening to your favorite tunes the moment we head out onto the lake.

While most people are fine on the boat, one in awhile someone gets sick. If that is the case we have the right to charge your credit card $100-250 per incident depending on the amount of cleanup needed

Swimming is not allowed in 2026.

We don’t allow fishing on any of our boat tours. We leave that work up to the pros on Lake Minnetonka.

Yes! Everyone of our boats in 2026 have a full bathroom.

Yes! If you enjoy your trip, your paddle captain will appreciate it! Most also have Venmo! You can also pre tip online when you reserve your tour.

Our boats out of Back Channel hold 18 people, and our Excelsior boats hold 14 people.

Yes! We have multiple boats we can pair for large groups. We have had corporate events as large as 100 people before. Group sizes over 18 people isn’t an issue at all. Give us a call or email and we can help plan the details.

Our private cruises don't have a minimum required. You book the entire boat for one flat fee in 2026. We do offer a per person pricing for our shared/public options which is $55/person.

Yes, you can reserve the private cruise for any amount! You reserve the entire boat.

Yes, we do offer promos from time to time. Typically they are pre season and range around 10% off. Best value all season is our Sunday Funday . Single tickets start at $45/person and full private boat cruises as low as $449/boat cruise.
